Hauscope Extension — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
The Hauscope Chrome extension is operated by Useful for Humans Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Hauscope at hauscope.com. We are the data controller for any personal data processed by the extension.
2. What the extension does
The extension activates only on Rightmove property listing pages (rightmove.co.uk). When it activates, it reads the public listing details from the page and sends them to hauscope.com, which returns an independent fair-value analysis of the property. The analysis is rendered inline beside the listing.
3. What data the extension collects
On a Rightmove listing page, the extension reads the following public property fields directly from the page:
- Asking price
- Address
- Postcode
- Property type
- Number of bedrooms
- Listing ID and URL
These fields are sent over HTTPS to hauscope.com solely so we can generate the valuation report shown back to you.
4. What we do NOT collect
We deliberately keep the surface area as small as possible. The extension does not collect or transmit:
- Any personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
- Your browsing history
- Any data from non-Rightmove pages
- Cookies or form fields from any page
- Third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
We do not sell any data, ever.
5. How data is stored
On your device: the extension caches the analysis for each listing in chrome.storage.local for up to 24 hours so revisiting the same listing is instant. Cached entries are deleted automatically after that window.
On our servers: we retain the anonymised property report (the listing fields and the generated valuation). These records are not linked to any user account, IP address, or device identifier.
6. Who we share data with
The listing data sent by the extension is processed by a small number of sub-processors strictly to provide the service:
- Supabase (EU) — database and storage
- Vercel (EU) — application hosting
- Anthropic — AI analysis of the listing
We do not share extension data with any other third parties.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because the extension does not collect personal identifiers, we typically hold no data tied to you individually. If you have a question or a request, email team@hauscope.com and we will respond within 30 days.
